Pesticide Poisoning Prevention

A pesticide is any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any pest. By their very nature, most pesticides create some risk of harm to humans, pets, or the environment because they are designed to kill or otherwise adversely affect pests. Seventy-five percent of homes in the U. S. use at least one pesticide product indoors each year. Studies suggest that 80-90 percent of exposure to pesticides occurs indoors.
