Eric grew up on a small farm in Dallas Oregon. After Eric’s graduation from high school, he served in the United States Army for three years. In 2007, Eric was medically retired from the Army after being wounded during his deployment to Iraq.

Eric graduated from WOU in 2017 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. While Eric attended school, he was employed in various positions in the medical field, volunteered at the Portland VA Medical Center, and supervised a harvest crew during the summers baling hay and straw.

Eric holds both state and national veteran service officer accreditation through Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs (ODVA) and the American Legion. Eric began working in veteran advocacy as an intern at Oregon Department of Veteran Affairs in Salem, Oregon while still in school. Prior to joining the Polk County Veteran Service Office, Eric worked as a Department Service Officer with the American Legion in Portland, Oregon.

He is married, has two daughters and a Bullmastiff. When he is not working, Eric enjoys fishing, spending time with family and University of Oregon football.
