I’ve had the privilege of working for Polk County since 2008 and currently serve as the Family & Community Outreach Director. This department is on the front lines of serving Polk County’s residents with a variety of programs and partnerships. Having grown up in Polk County, working here is special to me. As a child, my family struggled financially because of major health concerns of one parent and we were often recipients of many types of social services. Now I have the privilege to give back to the community and work to improve systems that were so vital to my family years ago.  

My professional experience includes working for the City of Salem in Prevention Programs, The State of Oregon, Child Care Division as a Special Projects Coordinator, The Oregon Child Care Resource and Referral Network as the Statewide Training Coordinator, Salem-Keizer Public Schools in the Community Relations Department and the YMCA of Marion and Polk Counties as a Child Care Director. 

I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy fly-fishing the West with my wife Lisa.​
