POLK COUNTY COVID-19 PHASED RE-OPENING

On May 11, 2020, Polk County, acting as the local Public Health authority, submitted its application for phased re-opening to the Governor's Office and Oregon Health Authority. The application addresses the re-opening criteria and guidelines set forth by the State. This application is PENDING approval by the Oregon Health Authority until further notice.

Polk County will be re-evaluated again on Wednesday, May 20th.

Working in concert with our local Public Health experts, Emergency Management, regional public health partners and local leaders, Polk County's application requests a May 15th phase 1 re-opening. A phase 1 re-opening will allow for several businesses to re-open their doors with modified conditions to protect the health and safety of the public.

Upon review and approval by the State for phase 1 re-opening, Polk County will continue to monitor community health and safety and provide the necessary assistance to insure our citizens are safe.
