Sgt. Mark Garton Appointed to Replace Sheriff Wolfe

On October 28, 2015 the Polk County Board of Commissioners appointed Detective Sergeant Mark Garton to replace Sheriff Bob Wolfe when he retires on November 30, 2015. The interim position will last from November 30, 2015, until January of 2017, at which time the newly elected Sheriff will take office.

Thank you for your donations in honor of Sgt. Randy Whittaker

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone who contributed to our Paws for a Cause Pet supply drive and BBQ in July! We were able to raise over $1800 for the Correctional Peace Officer Foundation at our BBQ. That money will be used to help other Correctional Officers who have a need and we are grateful that you joined with us so that we can help other Correctional Officers who are in need.
