POLK COUNTY DRUG TAKE BACK NETS 124 POUNDS

The Polk County Sheriff's Office assisted by other local agencies participated in a Drug Enforcement Agency Drug Take-Back Program on Saturday, September 29, 2012.  Deputy Shon Latty of the Polk County Sheriff's Office put the program together, working with local law enforcement and fire departments as collection sites.  Sheriff Bob Wolfe stated, "This program has been very successful and beneficial to the local community in removing unwanted prescription medications from homes and medicine cabinets."

Polk County Sergeant Tyrone Jenkins was presented a Life Saving Award by Sheriff Bob Wolfe at the Polk County Board of Commissioners meeting on Wednesday.

The Polk Interagency Narcotics Team (POINT) served three (3) search warrants at convenience stores in Monmouth and Dallas on 8-2-2011.

I. PURPOSE

The following Search and Rescue (SAR) & Recovery Plan was prepared and adopted in accordance with Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) Chapter 401.573.

The purpose of the Mounted Posse is to provide Search and Rescue services with the primary emphasis on use of horses.

Geocaching is an outdoor activity that most often involves the use of a Global Positioning System ("GPS") receiver or traditional navigational techniques to find a "geocache"
