Food Service Regulations

Polk County licenses food establishments annually, conducts two semi-annual inspections, conducts plan reviews, and provides food safety consultation. For information on licensing, plan review requirements, and general sanitation requirements, visit the Oregon Food Service Regulations website.

Polk County also licenses individuals/groups intending to prepare and serve food to the public at benevolent/non-benevolent events, and reviews menus and food-handler certification prior to operation. Please note, if you are applying for a benevolent temporary restaurant license, you will be required to provide a tax identification number for your organization.

If you have questions on booth requirements, visit Temporary Restaurant Operation Guidelines. If you would like to apply, please print the Temporary Restaurant License Application, and submit it to the Environmental Health office.
