Recognition - Falls City Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event

During the 3/2/22 BOC Meeting, our Commissioners recognized the organizers of the 2021 Falls City Annual Christmas Tree Lighting event. This event received the 2021 Ovation! Award Winner for Festival of the Year (Small) from the Oregon Festivals & Events Organization in Seaside.
The organizers included The Mountain Gospel Fellowship, Amy Metzler, James Metzler, Pastor John Unger, Ellen Unger, Dani Haviland, etc.

Salem, OR - The Marion and Polk County Commissioners will interview three nominees to fill the current vacancy for State Senator for Senate District 10. The three nominees will participate in a panel interview on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interviews will take place in the Senator Hearing Room at Courthouse Square located at 555 Court Street NE, in Salem. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

At the regularly scheduled Wednesday meeting, the Polk County Board of Commissioners adopted Order 20-09, directing the Polk County Environmental Health Division to accept and issue, without a payment. a 2021 Annual Restaurant License for any completed application submitted by a restaurant that maintained a valid Polk County issued Annual 2020 Restaurant License on March 17th, 2020.

COVID-19 RELIEF BUSINESS GRANTS AVAILABLE

October 29, 2021. Polk County has partnered with Willamette Workforce Partnership to distribute a second round of COVID-19 business relief grants to provide vital economic support to Polk County businesses needing assistance in overcoming the temporary loss of revenue due to COVID-19. If a business received a grant in the first round it will not be eligible. Funding for the grant is provided by the Federal Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES).
