Paying Taxes by Telephone

You can pay your property tax using a toll-free telephone number: 1-866-215-1835. This is an automated system and the first number the system asks you for is your six-digit property account number. You can pay using a debit or credit card or an e-check. There is a 2.49% convenience fee to pay by credit or debit card, with a minimum fee of $2.50. There is a flat fee of $2.00 to pay by electronic check using the County's e-check service.

Paying Taxes by Mail

You can mail your tax payments to the Polk County Tax Office, 850 Main Street, Dallas, OR 97338. Your payment must be postmarked on or before the due date of your payment. Be sure to enclose your payment stub or write your tax account number on your check. You can pay multiple accounts using one check.
You can make a full or partial payment against your tax balance.

Paying Taxes In Person

To pay in person, you may bring your payment to the Tax Office in the Polk County Courthouse. Office hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. We are closed during the noon hour. There is a 2.49% convenience fee to pay by credit card with a minimum payment amount of $2.50. To use your debit card in person, there is a $2.50 flat fee. You can make a full or partial payment against your tax balance.

Property Tax Payment Drop Box Now Available

A secure drop box at the County Courthouse in Dallas is now available for in-person payment of property taxes. The box is located on the north side of the Jefferson Street Courthouse entrance, just before the Clerk's election ballot drop box. We will check it daily and post your payment as of the date you deposited it in the box. If you would like confirmation that we received it, note on the payment that you would like us to mail you a receipt.
