The Finance Division is responsible for implementing and maintaining sound budgetary practices and effective internal control procedures.

A secure drop box at the County Courthouse in Dallas is now available for in-person payment of property taxes. The box is located on the north side of the Jefferson Street Courthouse entrance, just before the Clerk's election ballot drop box. We will check it daily and post your payment as of the date you deposited it in the box. If you would like confirmation that we received it, note on the payment that you would like us to mail you a receipt. 

3rd Property Tax payment due for taxpayers who pay their tax in installments. Payments can be mailed or brought to the Polk County Tax Office.

First installment of property taxes due.  Payments accepted at the Treasurer's Office (850 Main Street, Dallas, OR) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Local banks are no longer accepting property tax payments. Online or telephone (1-888-643-8041) payments available until midnight. Postmarks accepted on mailed payments.

Property Tax Statement

Property tax statements for the 2025-2026 tax year will be mailed out on or before October 25, 2025. Tax payments are due by November 17, 2025. If the due date lands on a weekend or legal holiday, the due date is moved to the next business day.
