Pursuant to Oregon law, the Commissioners of Polk, Benton, Yamhill and Marion County will be acting as the Appointing Authority to fill vacancy in the office of State Representative District 23 on July 6th, 2021 at 2:00pm.
To provide direct child support services to the residents of Polk County by establishing, modifying, and/or enforcing child support in order to encourage responsible parenting, family self-sufficiency, and child well-being, and to recognize the essential role of both parents in supporting their children.
Polk County is pleased to announce that the Board of Commissioners have selected Jeremy Gordon to fill the upcoming vacancy, Position #3, created by the pending retirement of Commissioner Ainsworth.
We are thankful to Commissioner Ainsworth for his dedicated service for the past 10 years and wish him well in retirement. Mr. Gordon will have big shoes to fill but we are confident that he will serve the people of Polk County well into the future. Mr. Gordon will be sworn in to his position on August 2, 2021.
