REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH

The Polk County Public Health Reproductive Health program provides confidential free or low cost services to women. We also provide specified services to men.

Notice

At this time, we are currently accepting, new clients as well as existing clients, appointments only (no walk-ins) for the following services:

  • Individuals who need birth control refills or need to start new birth contorl (pills, ring, depo injections)
  • Plan B emergency contraceptive (walk-in accepted)
  • Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) screening/testing/treatment for clients with active symptoms or who have been exposed to someone with a diagnosed STI.

We are currently offering appointments for routine procedures such as annual exams, PAPs, or IUD/Nexplanon insertion/removal.

 

Women’s health services include:

  • Annual women’s health checkups including a breast exam and pap test
  • Birth control methods that work for you
  • Emergency contraception
  • Sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing and treatment
  • HIV testing
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Resource information for pregnant women including prenatal referrals and options information
  • Health and community resource information

Services for men include testing and treatment for STDs and medical referrals as needed.
