How long do I need to quarantine for?

There are 3 different quarantine options available for most people.

14 day quarantine:

A 14-day quarantine is the safest way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to others and the option recommended by public health. You are required to quarantine for 14 days if you live in a long-term care facility or other licensed group setting (group home, adult foster care home, etc).

Last day of quarantine would be on day 14 after the last exposure to the positive case. You may return to work/school on day 15. If you develop symptoms during your quarantine period, seek testing.

10 day quarantine:

If you have no symptoms for the entire 10 days you may end your quarantine after 10 days. Continue to self monitor for symptoms for the full 14 days.

Last day of quarantine would be on day 10 after the last exposure to the positive case. You may return to work/school on day 11.

7 day quarantine:

If you have no symptoms and have a negative COVID-19 test result (antigen or PCR test) on quarantine day 5 or later before ending quarantine after 7 days. Continue to self monitor for symptoms for the full 14 days.

Last day of quarantine would be on day 7 after the last exposure to the positive case. You may return to work/school on day 8.
