What is a precinct committee person (PCP)?
A PCP is a grassroots, neighborhood level elected or appointed party official within the Democratic or Repubican Party.
PCP's represent a precinct which is the smallest political unit in the U.S. The PCP represents their neighbors within their
political party. PCP's may also help register voters, distribute information on candidates, an encourage people to vote. PCP's
serve for 2 years after elected. Elections for PCP's occur every May in the even numbered years of a Primary Election.
