Direct/Indirect Search Historical Index

The Clerk's Direct/Indirect Search Historical Index application allows you to search Clerk scanned images of direct/indirect books to find historic non-indexed deeds and records.

The Clerk's Office maintains the historical index of land deeds called “Deed Volumes" and "Book of Records.”  Deed Volumes are land records from 1854 to 1973.  Book of Records are land records from 1973 to 1985.  Book of Records has a slight overlap from book to book.

Information is indexed by Direct (seller) and Indirect (Buyer).  These books are grouped by years.  To locate a deed you must know the full name of one of the persons involved, and the approximate year of the transaction.
