Polk County Parks maintains and enhances the quality of life in Polk County by providing parks and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors.

Overview

• Polk County was founded on Dec. 22, 1845
• The County was named for James Knox Polk, the 11th President of the United States
• The County seat is located at Dallas, Oregon
• Polk County is home to Western Oregon University and an excellent public school system
• Polk County is governed by a 3-member Board of Commissioners who serve 4-year terms

The Tax Office sends out four different types of property tax statements – real, personal, manufactured structures, and utility – in late October of each year.

Delinquent Taxes

All personal property tax is delinquent when any installment is not paid on time.

The primary goal of the Polk County Victim Assistance Program is to provide information, resources and support to victims of both adult and juvenile crimes committed in Polk county.
