Due to a recent detection of extremely high lead levels in a commercial building located in West Salem, Polk and Marion County Public Health is issuing the following alert:
Lead exposure can result in behavior and learning problems, especially in young children. Currently there is no evidence of human illness related to lead exposures at this facility. The facility has been closed and fenced off pending further inspection and clean-up of the interior by Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
Provides assessments, outpatient counseling, and referrals for adults experiencing short or long-term mental health, substance use, and/or problem gambling issues.
PROPOSED URBAN GROWTH BOUNDARY AMENDMENT: The Polk County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on April 3, 2017 at 5:30 pm at the Dallas Civic Center, 945 SE Jefferson St., Dallas, OR, concerning amendment of the Dallas Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) to include the Dallas Golf Club property located at 11875 Orrs Corner Road. The applicable review and decision criteria for th UGB amendment is Polk County Zoning Ordinance Sections 115.040 and 115.060, Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) 660, Divisions 12, 18, and 24, and Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) Chapter 197.
