COVID-19 RELIEF BUSINESS GRANTS AVAILABLE

October 29, 2021. Polk County has partnered with Willamette Workforce Partnership to distribute a second round of COVID-19 business relief grants to provide vital economic support to Polk County businesses needing assistance in overcoming the temporary loss of revenue due to COVID-19. If a business received a grant in the first round it will not be eligible. Funding for the grant is provided by the Federal Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES).

  • Install check valves in sewer traps to prevent floodwaters from backing up in sewer drains, or buy large stoppers to plug sinks, showers, tubs.
  • Obtain sandbags, plastic sheeting, lumber and towels.
  • Fuel vehicles in case evacuation becomes necessary.

What if the positive case lives in my household?

The quarantine period for a household close contact begins after their last contact with (or exposure) to the COVID-19 positive person. A close contact is someone who has been within 6 feet of a COVID-19 positive person during their infectious period for at least 15 minutes (it can be shorter periods of time that add up to 15 or more minutes over a period of 24 hours). The infectious period of a COVID-19 person begins 2 days before symptoms develop and lasts through their isolation period.
