Polk County Offices will be closed on Friday, November 11th, 2011 in honor of Veterans Day.  Law Enforcement and emergency services will remain available.

Friday, Nov. 4th:  9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Saturday, Nov. 5th: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Polk County offices will be closed on Monday, September 5, 2011 in honor of Labor Day. Law Enforcement and emergency services will remain open.

A number of excellent facilities are available for private rental at the Polk County Fairgrounds & Event Center. 

Septic systems dispose of household sewage, or wastewater, generated from several sources, including sinks, toilet use, bathing, washing machines, and other cleaning activities.
