Polk County Fair Board Animal Welfare Policy

Considering the importance of animals to the Polk County Fair Board, it shall be the policy of the Polk County Fair Board, employees and exhibitors to treat all animals at the Fair in a humane manner. All Exhibitors shall provide animals clean bedding and adequate food and water. Fair exhibitors shall keep their animals from harm.

It shall further be the policy of the Polk County Fair Board to protect animals from mistreatment by the general public and to assure the safety of Fair patrons.

The Ford Institute Leadership Program will be holding a beautification day on the fairgrounds, they will be repairing, building and painting animal pens among other projects on the grounds in preparation for the 2016 Annual Fair.

All volunteers are welcome to come on out and help us spruce up for Fair!!

A reception will follow in Building B
