Fingerprinting

WE ARE NOW TAKING APPOINTMENTS FOR FINGERPRINTING ON A LIMITED BASIS FOR REASONS OTHER THAN OBTAINING A POLK COUNTY CONCEALED HANDGUN LICENSE (CHL appointments must go through Permitium)

UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF REQUESTS FOR FINGERPRINTING, FOR NOW WE ARE ONLY SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS FOR POLK COUNTY RESIDENTS.

The records division does fingerprinting for the general public.  The cost for this service is $25.00 for up to 2 fingerprint cards.  You must provide current valid identification, such as your driver's license, and the information you write on the fingerprint card must match your identification.

Please keep in mind that the Concealed Handgun License fingerprinting fee of $15.00 is a separate fee and must be scheduled through https://polkor.permitium.com/entry.  If you are applying for a CHL and are also being fingerprinted for another reason, including an out of state Concealed Handgun License, you will be charged both fees.

Payments can be made with cash, checks & money orders made payable to the Polk County Sheriff's Office or PCSO. We will also gladly accept VISA, MasterCard and debit cards with the VISA emblem, but NOT over the phone.
