Roads & Bridge Maintenance and Operation
Our road crew performs many activities for Polk County throughout the year including:
- Adding rock to gravel roads and grading
- Asphalt paving and patching
- Building and maintaining roadside drainage ditches
- Maintaining and installing culverts
- Maintaining and repairing bridges
- Installing and maintaining signs along roadways
- Mowing and brush-cutting along roadways
- Snow and ice removal from the roads
Our shop crew works to maintain and repair all of the County's vehicles
