Eric Berry Assists With Rescue

Eric Berry, County Surveyor, also serves as a Polk County reserve deputy. Fortunately, earlier this month Eric was in the right place at the right time. He was instrumental in assisting  a Lincoln County deputy on his way to WOU at the scene of a Highway 223 accident.

Eric states, “I overheard the call on the radio. I thought since I was just a few miles away, I would lend a hand to Deputy Larson.” They didn’t want to remove the victim but had to when flames started shooting out of the car. The victim was pulled from the car moments before the vehicle went up in flames.

Eric’s efforts in going above and beyond to assist with safely rescuing this citizen are very much appreciated!
