Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a computer-based tool used for mapping and for providing information on a variety of systems and information within the County. The GIS section maintains data on such items as the county road system, school district boundaries, city limits, floodplains, greenway, and many others. The data within the GIS layers is continually growing as the user base grows and the need for additional information is identified.
