~Our Goal is that...All People are Empowered and Healthy~

The overall goal of the Polk County Family & Community Outreach Department (FCO) is that “All People are Empowered and Healthy”.  To achieve this goal, FCO works closely with communities across the county to learn their needs and find solutions to best meet those needs. The strength of our department is rooted in relationships with other agencies, schools, faith entities and the clients we serve. Polk County FCO is one of the departments within the greater Polk County Government system and answers to the Board of County Commissioners. Programs within the department include Drug, Alcohol, Problem Gambling & Suicide Prevention, Early Learning & Family Engagement, Family Resource Navigation, Polk County Resource Center, School Based Mental Health, Service Integration, and Veteran Services Office.
