Communicable diseases are diseases that are capable of being transmitted from one person to another. Contact investigation is crucial to controlling the spread of these diseases since some of these diseases may be unreported or unrecognized cases (asymptomatic infections). If you are experiencing symptoms or have been exposed to, or in contact with, someone with a communicable disease, please contact your physician and local health department.
