Don't Miss the Extension/Conservation Districts' Tent at the Annual Fair!
Our Master Gardener volunteers will have a plant clinic and will help answer your gardening questions. Our 4-H youth will be showing you their projects and talking about 4-H programs, and other Extension volunteers will talk about our services and how you can become a volunteer.
Visit the Polk Soil and Water Conservation District display to learn how rain, wind, and fire affect Polk 
County. Spin the “Wheel of Elements” and pick the resulting land condition. Watch live demonstrations of how fire burns and what you can do to create defensible space to protect your home. Learn about other opportunities for conservation through Natural Resource Conservation Service, Farm Service Agency, Department of Forestry, local Watershed Councils, and others.
