Community Corrections is charged with the responsibility to safeguard the public from further victimization through classified supervision monitoring levels of persons convicted of crime(s). Offender accountability is maximized through various local agency involvement / programming and, closed custody sanctioning. (As of 7/1/00) Community service work programs serving offenders are governed by Community Corrections. Various fines and fees are collected from offenders supervised by Community Corrections.
